History of Boomerang Pharmaceutical Communications

1997

Boomerang Pharmaceutical Communications is founded in Mulhouse, France by Emmanuel Bueb and Christopher Davis — the two met while attaining their MBAs. The original business plan was a winner at the University of Texas at Austin MOOT CORP® competition. The name “Boomerang” is chosen to embody the concept of “Ideas that fly,” describing the agency’s less serious side.

1998

One of Boomerang’s first major projects, the development of HealthandAge (healthandage.com) is sponsored by the Novartis Foundation for Gerontology. HealthandAge became the most successful pharmaceutical premier portal dedicated to senior health, with almost 2 million unique visitors per month.

2004

Boomerang delivers on its first online patient recruitment project.

2006

Boomerang establishes North American operations in Montville, New Jersey and Montreal, Canada.

2008

Boomerang continues its global expansion with additional offices in Munich, Germany and London, England.

2009

HealthandAge relaunches in French as NovoViva.fr, with German and Spanish versions developed shortly afterward.
