<p>“This decade will see brands championing collaboration instead of an Us/Them mentality,” the Dutch trend-spotting agency Trendwatching declared in its 2010 predictions. So, expect a shift from passive, transactional consumerism towards customers having more creative control — arguably smart in the age of Web 2.0, where people expect a say on just about everything.</p>
